The JamesTV Setups on android TV devices add considerable versatility, TV applications, tools and available custom services well beyond older or brand new smart TVs as purchased. The setups do not alter the limited functionality of the TV itself, but adds a whole new level of customization, content delivery and helps prevent early product obsolescence . TVs 10+ years old can easily be much smarter then the new ones without altering any product hardware or software. The JamesTV setups add to the existing features, not replace.
JamesTV System Setups are already included in each of the four (4) package level setups. Customers who already have their own device(s) or intend to purchase one on their own can elect to have them joined the JamesTV environment. The setup automatically allows the device to become part the JamesTV System network for easy app installs, customization and requested services.
United Technologis can still remotely suport thousands of android streaming devices even though they may not (yet) have a JamesTV setup. However, in some these cases, the age, quality and android device operating system they have may not allow the same level of remote access and support.
